The journey of contributing to the social and cultural life of the city as an accessible space for everyone at Galataport İstanbul begins with unique events on the 29 October Republic Day in Turkey.

Organized by the Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club under the auspices of the Presidency, the Istanbul stage of the 2nd Presidential International Yacht Races will kick off on 29 October 2021 at Galataport İstanbul.

The races, under the theme of "The City Living in Two Continents", will be watched from the Galataport İstanbul dock throughout the day. The 29 October Republic Day will be celebrated with enthusiasm on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the foundation of our Republic.

The Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra (DCSO), Turkey's first national and permanent children's symphony orchestra, comprised of more than 800 young conservatory students and which aims to promote the universal art of polyphonic music by introducing symphonic music to children, will take the stage between 17.30 - 18.30, at Galataport İstanbul Port Square.

The young pianist Ilyun Bürkev will join the Orchestra as a soloist at the DCSO's Republic Day Concert, with Prof. Dr. Rengim Gökmen as the Conductor and General Music Director.
