Chasing the Rhythm on April 23rd: Dance Battle at Galataport 

April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day once again comes alive at Doğuş Square with vibrant events that celebrate children’s creativity and their excitement to express themselves freely. In this lively atmosphere filled with music, games, and movement, dance becomes one of the most powerful ways for children to channel their energy. Steps guided by rhythm turn this special day into an even more joyful celebration. 

A Dance Stage Comes to Life at Galataport on April 23rd 

Dance Battle, held for the third time at Galataport Istanbul, invites children to the dance floor at Doğuş Square on April 23rd, 2026. Taking place between 14:00 and 17:00, the event will feature children aged 8–13 performing on stage and competing to surprise tracks selected by the DJ. 

Sponsored by Sneaks Up, the event will bring together young dancers eager to showcase their energy and creativity, while visitors will enjoy a day filled with music and rhythm at Doğuş Square. 

What to Expect at Dance Battle 

Throughout Dance Battle, children will take the stage to perform freestyle dance routines and compete in front of the jury. After several rounds during the day, finalists will return to the stage to demonstrate their skills once more in the grand finale. 

At the end of the competition, the winners will be rewarded with surprise prizes.

How to Apply 

Children who would like to participate in Dance Battle can submit their applications by sending a video via the @istanbulstreetdance Instagram account. Competition rules and the application form are available at istanbulstreetdance.com.
